I, Kamakshi Pasari, born and brought up in Kolkata, India am a freelance conceptual fashion photographer, graphic designer and cinematographer.

My journey of a photographer started off as a hobby (like any another) when I was gifted my first DSLR in the 7th grade. As a curious kid, to learn how this particular device functioned, I enrolled for photography workshops and started fidgeting with my camera more.

​

I had no idea about what a good visual was, the word 'aesthetic' was unrevealed to me and my composition was all faulty. Overtime with more research and clicking pictures continuously, I got a grip of composition, symmetry, colour scheme etc.

​

I always loved clicking pictures. From photographing people to places, street to events, weddings to birthday, tried my hand at everything but I knew I wasn't enjoying it as much. 

​

Until one day, I got my first ever fashion project which was a collaboration. During the shoot, I met various talented people (Wardrobe stylist, Make-up artist, Hair Dresser, Outfit designer) That's when I realised when skilled people work towards the same outcome, the results are incredible. This made me want to explore Fashion.

Based on that, I moved from Kolkata to Mumbai, also known as the fashion hub of India, where I started educating myself towards become a fashion photographer.

 

I, now shoot portraits, products, editorials, commercials, conceptual fashion and lifestyle.

​

My style includes simplicity, minimalism & aesthetics.

​

I have worked with brands like Scoopski, Kookie Jar, Renao, Le Mira, Due North, Vaani Beswal, Michelle Alexander Accessories, Meluhha, The Pink Banter, etc.

​

All of my work is inspired by my experience, creative vision and keen observation.
